     Pilgrims of Hope: Pope Francis declares 2025 a Year of Jubilee

Pope Francis declared 2025 a Year of Jubilee which happens every 25 years as part of our Catholic Tradition. The Jubilee Year will end of January 6, 2026. 

Pope Francis calls all of us to be builders of hope, to rediscover it and to proclaim it and to build hope in a world even when it seems barely worth the effort.

Hope does not disappoint, he said. In the heart of each person, hope dwells as the desire and expectation of good things to come, despite our not knowing what the future may bring. Let us rejoice in the gift of the resurrection & “see the promise of good at times when evil seems to prevail”.

As we begin our PREP year, 2025/2026 it is important for us to remember that hope is already within us. All we need to do is ask God to strengthen hope in us so we can share that hope with others.
As Pilgrims of Hope our theme for PREP 2025 -26 is “The Good Shepherd."  The God Shepherd is a call to us to live out the love and care that Jesus demonstrated.
